New power supply, older computer.?

Trying to fit a micro atx 400w power supply into an older soyo sy-p4vsa kit box that had a 300w power supply that crapped out. The supply bolted right in but is missing a mother board 6 pin power connector. 1-red, 2-orange, 3 blacks. Can I do a splice or did I waste my money on the atx?
