What is the best laptop for me ?

So i want to buy a laptop that is under 550 bucks. im not sure which brand would be good for me. I want a laptop that is good for softwear, an okay battery life, one that playing games will be good too. well i just wnat to play one online game in it, not many. Im mostly a writer so i guess i need one that has a good keyboard. i dont want a netbook, but a notebook. what brand or if u guys have any opinions of what model laptop i should get?
